Jim Ortega for City Council

The Folsom Police Officers' Association is proud to endorse Jim Ortega's candidacy for Folsom City Council, District 4, in 2024.

Jim proudly served and dedicated his career to his community, as Jim worked for the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office. Jim ascended through the ranks and in 2017, he retired as a Captain. Following his career with the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office, Jim continued his commitment to the community where he was the Police Chief for the Placerville Police Department from 2017 to 2020.

Jim has been a Folsom resident for over 16 years and has been active in the community, serving on the City of Folsom Planning Commission, Rotary Club of Folsom and a board member of the Northern California Peace Officers Association, which speaks volumes about his passion for making a positive impact.

Jim's platform prioritizes crucial issues such as public safety, innovative approaches to address homelessness, and responsible fiscal management. His vision aligns seamlessly with the aspirations of Folsom residents for a safe, inclusive, and thriving community.
